Back from Linux training in Chicago
Sunday 30th April, 2006This past week I attended Red Hat Linux training in Chicago at Microtek.
The instructor Johnathan Kupferer, elaborated on more than the simple textbook examples, proving he is a knowledgeable instructor comfortable with the material. He was able to provide useful examples that impress the importance of each chapter.
I also walked the streets of Chicago after class to take in all the spring sites and snap a couple of pictures. Couldn't help noticing this painted poster on the side of a building (Johnny's Grill, 838 N State St) a tribute to Metropolis, Ill, proclaimed home of Superman.
My favorite meal was Pad Thai with Beef, at Quang Noodle, 804 N State St, serving Vietnamese and Thai food. If you are looking for fine Chicago dinning, this is not the place for you. If however you are open to small authentic places with little atmosphere, and a good inexpensive meal, give it a try.
