I am a huge Vikings Fan and was really impressed by the image on the Vikings.com splash page.

I thought I would inspect the image in more detail as most images like this one are created in software similar to Adobe Photoshop. I saved the file to my workstation and opened the file in an EXIF viewer, (those of you familiar with you cameras and image files may know about this metadata stored in the image itself)

Metadata from image file:
Adobe XMP Core 4.2.2-c063 53.352624, 2008/07/30-18:05:41
        Adobe Photoshop CS3 Macintosh

You will notice the image was not only created in Adobe Photoshop CS3, but it was created back on July 24th, the same week Brett Favre was going to announce IF he was going to play for the Vikings or stay retired. We all know now that he would tell the Vikings organization that he would stay retired on July 28th. Then after training camp change his mind and signed with the Vikings after all.

Some people believe that was the plan all along, I am in no way stating this is conclusive evidence either way. It could just mean that the Vikings were anticipating that Brett was going to play.

I do find it interesting nonetheless. (and Yeah, I am a Geek!)
